A TEENAGER'S face was slashed with a craft knife after he was robbed by four youths.
The 16-year-old victim was treated in hospital for a wound above the nose and received nine stitches.
The incident occurred in the Clifton Street, Burnley, area shortly after 7.15pm on Thursday when the victim was approached by two Asian and two white youths who threatened him and took his cassette player.
One slashed him before they ran off.
The assailants are said to be between 12 and 14, wearing baseball caps and track suits. One, an Asian aged around 14, had a plaster cast on one arm.
