A COLNE-based charity which recycles unwanted furniture for disadvantaged and unemployed people has received a £20,000 boost.
The cash grant has been announced by the Lloyds TSB Foundation, one of the UK's largest charitable trusts and will be used over two years to employ a furniture project co-ordinator.
Burnley's Disability Information Service has also struck lucky with a £2,600 grant towards its running costs and purchase of a new photocopier.
The local groups are among 110 charities across the North West sharing more than £540,000 in the latest round the grant-giving by the Foundation.
