STAFF at a metal fabrication company are celebrating after scooping one prestigious training award and narrowly missing out on another.
Victoria Forge Nelson, which employs 90 people at its Trawden site, has been named as one of the North West finalists in the 1999 Training Awards.
And the firm was one of just 10 companies in the country to be shortlisted for the 1999 Investors in People Award.
Managing director Betty Dewhurst, said: "Victoria Forge Nelson aims to provide a high quality sub-contract service to a wide range of companies throughout the UK.
"In order to achieve this it is vital that we have a well-trained and motivated workforce.
"That is why we actively encourage all of our employees to complete relevant training and development programmes, and why our company is totally committed to the national Investors in People initiative."
