ONCE again the real winner in the League was the atrocious weather with only seven games surviving out of the scheduled 29.

Of the ones which did survive, Blackburn Boys and Blue Star Under 12s fought out an entertaining fixture with Blackburn Boys coming from two goals behind to earn a draw.

In the Under 13 section, high-flying Oswaldtwistle Utd were involved in a very close battle with mid-table Rossendale Valley. The final scoring going to the Oswaldtwistle side by the odd goal in five.

In the Under 14 Red Section, second-placed Clayton Villa got the scare of their lives when points-less Wilpshire Wanderers almost took something from the fixture.
