AC BLACKBURN 4 NORTH VALLEY DYNAMOS 0
AC REMAIN top of the league with two games remaining.
That this game was playable at all is thanks to the excellent work of British Aerospace groundsman Stuart.
Blackburn started well and kept the North Valley team busy for the whole game. Jack Regan kept his goal touch once again scoring another hat trick helped by some fine work on the right wing from Nathan Cross.
Mark Ratuzniak capped another fine game in midfield with a deserved goal, while the defence had it all their own way denying the opposition any shot at goal.
Man of the match was Danny Finch.
Squad: Jenkinson, Kay, Pearce, Smalley, Finch, Ratuzniak, Cross, McDermott, Regan, Malone, Dickinson, Lambe, Pickup, Evans.
STORK FC 1 DUGDALE 3
UNABLE to progress in this competition, Stork gave the returning Bennett and regular substitute Steve Porter a game. Stork were not overwhelmed by their Premier League opponents in a game that had the air of pre-season friendly. Without a referee, this good tempered game was won by the team that converted their chances. Today it was Dugdale.
Storks only chance of any real dnager came when new centre half Benfield had a header saved on the line.
Team: MAN of the match Anthony Spencer scored eight of the 11 goals in Huncoat United Under 12's 11-0 trouncing of Rishton at Peel Park. Adrian Bond, L Stinson and D Mooring topped it off by netting one each.
All Huncoat's other matches were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
ST JOSEPH'S Under 13s had a convincing 10-1 win over North Valley Dynamos in atrocious conditions at Holt House, Colne. In driving rain and playing against the slope, the Saints opened the scoring with a fine strike from Danny Richardson. Poor marking led to the home side equalising from close range though soon afterwards Steven Mercer restored the lead.
In the second half the Saints totally dominated the game with Hakim Webb scoring a hat trick, Matthew Murgan (2) and Adam Auld, Mark Armer and Danny Richardson completing the scoring.
Chris Grimshaw dominated midfield and fully deserved the manager's man of the match award whilst the referee's vote went to Jonathan Mather for a commanding display at centre half.
