HUDDERSFIELD winger David Beresford will be thrown into the lion's den as Preston take on arch rivals Blackpool at Deepdale tomorrow.
The former Oldham man, 23, joined North End on a month's loan this week and goes straight into the squad for the West Lancashire grudge match.
Beresford can operate on either flank and could replace the injured Lee Cartwright on the right wing.
Midfielder Michael Appleton returns from a one-match ban but could find the first team door slammed shut by skipper Sean Gregan who is likely to continue his central partnership with Mark Rankine.
On-loan Dundee United striker Alex Mathie could be on the bench for the last time - his loan spell ends on Monday.
Squad: Moilanen, Alexander, Edwards, Kidd, Jackson, Darby, Gregan, Rankine, Eyres, Macken, Gunlaugsson, Mathie, Diaf, Appleton, Nogan, Barry-Murphy, Lucas, Beresford.
