GENEROUS students and staff at a Rossendale high school raised money for charity during a week of fund-raising events.
Tutors at Fearns High School, Stacksteads, transformed themselves into rock group Manic Street Teachers to play a concert during lunchtime. Students also changed their image for the day by paying for the privilege of not wearing uniforms.
The previous day, girl students formed pop group Angels and staged a "gig" in the school hall.
Earlier in the week staff and pupils took part in a sponsored abseil down the side of one of the school buildings for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust.
Students also took part in a sponsored sleep over in school overnight on Thursday for the homeless charity appeal Crisis For Christmas.
A final figure is not yet known but the events are believed to have raised several thousands of pounds.
