BOOTLEG booze and tobacco were seized from a lorry by customs and excise officers.

Police stopped the vehicle in Ramsbottom on Friday night and called in customs officers.

They detained 150 cases of beer, 50 cases of wine and 22kg of hand rolling tobacco as well as the lorry.

No arrests have been made and inquiries are continuing.
