BEING a long time, but now long-distance, Rovers supporter, I was fortunate to see the recent Fulham and Bolton wins.

Tony Parkes has certainly turned things around and we all hope he can keep it up. One thing I noticed, which appears to be questionable, was the Rovers poor performance from corners at both ends of the pitch.

On attack, the Rovers form a small group in the middle of the penalty area. This makes it easier to defend against and they don't appear to have anyone charging forward from downfield.

Many of the corners were poorly taken and this made it easy for the defenders. On defence, the Rovers, unlike most other teams, did not station a defender inside each goalpost.

The goalkeeper cannot cover the whole width of the goal and this failure cost them the Bolton goal.

The Bolton score was from a corner and went just inside the post. The Rovers had far more corners than the opposition but never looked like they would score from one.

Despite Sunday's setback, I hope that the next match that I can get over for will be in the Premiership.

Good Luck Tony.
