A DOUBLE blow hit East Lancashire as the Government chopped millions of pounds of aid for industry and education.
Blow number one came when the Government gave county education chiefs just £8.1 million of the £41 million needed to tackle Lancashire's crumbling schools.
Blow number two came when Blackburn, Hyndburn and Rossendale were wiped off a map of areas selected to receive special Euro-aid.
