THE full body scanner at Booth Hall Children's Hospital, Manchester, provided by the generosity of the people of the North West, will be 10 years old at the beginning of January. During the last 10 years, the scanner has helped to save the lives of more than 14,000 children (the youngest being six weeks old).

To celebrate its birthday, you can come along and view the scanner on Sunday, January 9, between 10am and 4pm, when it will be open to the public.

If anybody wishes to make a donation to help us raise the £50,000 needed each year to run the scanner it would be appreciated.

Please send cheques or postal orders, payable to 'Booth Hall Scanner Appeal,' to me:

ALAN JONES, Secretary, Booth Hall Scanner Appeal, 3 Kempton Close, Droylsden, Manchester M43 7JL.
