A TEENAGER who handled the £4,000 proceeds of a raid on a designer clothes shop, is behind bars for four months.
Cade Costello, 19, a father-to-be, was one of six people spotted in a van by the police after the attack on Sunday Best, in Bank Street, Rawtenstall, last September, Burnley Crown Court heard.
Costello, who is illiterate, was told by Judge Raymond Bennett that those who took part in such crimes knew they were doing wrong whether they could read or write or not.
Costello, of Camdale Walk, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, who had no previous convictions, was sent to a young offenders 'institution. He admitted handling stolen goods.
Fred Parkinson, defending, said Costello had been in custody since December 15 and it had a profound effect on him. His girlfriend was due to give birth in January.
