IT'S Standen-room only in Division Two with the leaders 28 points in front after totally crushing SAS 10-0.
High-flying Hollands were brought down to earth in the First Division with a 7-3 defeat against Old Masters, unbeaten John Thornber in excellent form and with partner Peter Wood secured the victory.
Also in Division Two, title contenders Mixed had little Christmas cheer in their clash with a depleted Raiders side, winning 9-1. Second-placed Rovers dropped valuable points in a 7-3 away win over Tek Neek, Jim Fielding and Steve Lyons the unbeaten duo.
Temple Street's promotion push carries on with a 7-3 home victory over Allspeeds Res, Brian Hall taking maximum points for the winners.
Hustlers' reign at the top of Division Three came to an end when they could only defeat Three B's 6-4, Saqib Mehrban was the unbeaten star for the victors. Leaders Harlequins with the trio of Danny Chamberlain, Norman Robinson and Andy Lewis whitewashing unlucky Brierfield 10-0. Shahsmen Res with Fred Holden and Chris Booth in tremendous form, outplayed Casuals 7-3, Alan Ormerod was unlucky for the losers with two fine wins. Stanhill's improved form continues with an 8-2 away win over Brierfield, Tim Whittaker with three wins and two each from son, Simon and Nigel Penberthy, saw them run out worthy winners.
Only one match was played in Division Four, Dash playing host to a depleted Slammers side resulted in a 9-1 win for the home side.
