AEROSPACE firms have been given a view from the cockpit of the new Eurofighter Typhoon.
Burnley-born Shaun Hughes, navigator for the two-seater development aircraft being built in Lancashire was a guest speaker at the North West Aerospace Alliance meeting.
The former RAF navigator explained the layout of the Eurofighter's cockpit which has been dubbed "the biggest avionics test bed in the world":
His BAe Systems colleague Steve Throup, support manager for Final Assembly, spoke to members at the meeting held at Northern Technologies, Nelson, about the manufacturing techniques being used to make the new fighter.
