NICE to see Ian Barker emerging from the woodwork for a good old hysterical rant. Of course I had no evidence for the Burrows/Blobby hypothesis. A thought, I said. Probably just a co-incidence I said. However, when Ian Barker starts shrieking poppycock in an eyeball bulging frenzy, it's often a good clue that we've touched a tender spot. Perhaps we should be taking the hypothesis more seriously. Just to remind you, the question is, was there was more to the sacking of former Town Clerk Burrows than met the eye, and could it have had anything to do with Blobbygate? Answer, I don't know, but with every frantic denial the more likely it seems. One thing is for certain, the excuse given to the public at the time, that the Town Clerk and Chief Executive's post had become redundant, was much more improbable than the supposition which has had such a painful effect on the deputy labour leader's stomach acids.

Anyway, if it isn't skullduggery connected with the Burrows' sacking, just what is it that Labour are so afraid might emerge into the public domain?
