AT the beginning of this year we were with family in Christchurch, New Zealand when one day on the news it was announced that a group from Bury and Rochdale (Al!ve) were to play at Buckingham Palace for the Queen.
Also at this time, the lovely hit show, "Jungle Book" and Bury's Peter Skellern, were mentioned in newspapers and revues, and there was a glimpse on TV of the England netball team, which included Tracey Neville.
It would be nice if these talented people from Bury could be mentioned along with the greats.
Incidentally, Christchurch in New Zealand will be the first place to welcome in the Millennium. With family also in Melbourne, Australia, may we mention these two most beautiful countries and send our best wishes for 2000.
