BEEF ban compensation should come out of French funds says Euro budget top dog Terry Wynn.
The North West MEP, who is chairman of the European Parliament's budget committee, has been asked by Euro President Nicole Fontaine if money is available to compensate British farmers and exporters hit by the French ban.
Mr Wynn said: "I am trying to find ways with the European Commission to see if we can find any funding.
"I still think the French should be paying the compensation to our farmers but, in the meantime, if we can alleviate some hardships we will do out best."
