A KIDNEY transplant gave a Tyldesley woman a new lease of life.
Jean Smith's daughter, Tina, 38, of Shakerley Road had the transplant at the Manchester Royal Hospital.
And to thank the Renal Transplant Unit at the hospital, Tina's mum and stepdad, Eddie, of Crawford Avenue, organised a charity night in Atherton Sailor's and Soldier's Club.
The night raised £500.35.
Jean said: "I would like to thank everyone who attended the night, and a big thank you to the family of the donor for giving my daughter this new life.
"Also, my family would like to thank the S&S club for the room, DJ John, who did a great job, and a special thank you to Tina Oliver for helping organise the event."
Mrs Smith also wants to thank Pen to Paper, Hilton's Butchers and Betty's the Florist for donations, and the manager and staff at Tyldesley Co-op.
