BOTH sides in the heated debate over the future of Accrington Victoria welcomed news that surgery at the hospital may have won a reprieve.
A professor who visited the site was thought to be in favour of surgery continuing for at least 12 months. But it looked "very unlikely" that a permanent recommendation would be made.
