COULD I through The Journal give a warning to readers who are about to book their summer holidays.
Over many years my office has received countless complaints about people taking out time-shares only to discover that all is not what it seemed to be.
Everyone should be aware of bogus salesmen and time-share touts when they are on holiday.
To avoid trouble:
Don't go to a time-share presentation if you don't want to buy a time-share, sales staff do not give up easily.
If you do go, don't take credit cards or cheque books and pay nothing, even if you decide to buy. If you're not happy, walk away and always get everything in writing.
If all the above fails, contact my office on 01744 451609 or the Timeshare Council on 0171 821 8845.
