Ruskin Park 5, Sefton 5
A GREAT defensve effort ensured Ruskin had a share of the spoils.
And the point gained means they move up a place in the league.
Sefton started strongly and took the lead with a back-row drive to the line after a set scrum.
Ruskin came more into the game after the interval. And after a superb break by Ste Wood, Kev Toole put Stu Fisher in at the corner.
Back came Sefton with a vengeance and they laid siege to the home line for the last 20 minutes.
But the Ruskin tackling was up to the task, but the Sefton full-back will wonder how he sent the easiest of penalties wide of the posts in the closing minutes.
Other results: Sefton 2nds 17 Ruskin 2nds 12, Ruskin 3rds 5 Liverpool St Helens Vets 17.
