DISABLED parent James Greenwood faces the worst Christmas imaginable - having nothing to give his twins on Christmas Day.
His car, which was loaded with presents, was stolen from outside a shop near his Bamber Bridge home.
James, of Tunley Holme, had left the car unattended for just five minutes in Church Road while he struggled with his two walking sticks.
The car was loaded up with presents for his 10-year-old twin daughters Collette and Gemma.
Police later discovered the burned-out shell of his old Vauxhall Cavalier near Manchester.
The twins' Christmas presents, which were mainly clothes, were also scorched.
James said: "Now I have nothing to give my children. "My disabilities mean I struggle, which makes the girls appreciate what they get even more. We had a really fun day shopping, with the girls picking the clothes they wanted for Christmas. Now they have nothing left."
The car also provided James with vital transport. He cannot stand or walk for any length of time because his legs become sore and he has to sit down.
At first James thought his car had been towed away because he had left parked on double yellow lines, even though he has a disabled sticker.
But he now believes the thieves watched him leave the car when he went shopping, and must have known he was disabled.
He added: "I was gone a matter of minutes. I have a disabled sticker and I am sure the thieves were watching.
"We will replace the girls clothes in the new year but we struggle by at the best of times, so buying them again for Christmas is out of the question."
