LEIGH MINERS, Challenge Cup heroes of 12 months ago, were dumped out of this year's competition at the second round stage.
Miners, conquerors of pro club Bramley last season, went down to 34-14 to National Conference Division One side Siddal on Saturday.
Siddal, from Halifax, put the skids under the Premier Division outfit with a super first half performance that saw them build up a 14-0 lead.
Although MR responded with second half tries from Mark Sarsfield, Phil Carroll and Tony Dowling, they only proved to be consolation efforts.
