SCHOOLCHILDREN dressed as pop stars to perform hit songs and raise money for cancer research.
Pupils at St Christopher's High School, Accrington, held a concert called Step Into The Stars, which raised money for the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
Year 10 pupil Rebecca Gregory dressed as Geri Halliwell to sing the former Spice Girl's number one single Lift Me Up. Fellow students Adam Green and Michelle Pratt teamed up as George Michael and Mary J Bleige to perform the duet As. Rebecca and her friends have been raising money for the charity with a series of events in 1999.
Next year they intend to carry on the fundraising and give what they collect to the Pendlebury For Cancer Research charity which is linked to the Pendlebury Children's Hospital.
