ANDY Preece's revived Bury were looking to make it three straight wins when they visited bottom of the table Chesterfield today.
Thanks to Preece and his partner Steve Redmond, who are running team affairs, the clouds of gloom which hung over Gigg Lane during the Warnock era have lifted, and with youngsters being a given a chance to shine, the dreaded long ball game is being ushered out.
Preece was not expected to ring any changes to the team following their stirring performance against Burnley, as Darren Bullock and Paul Barnes who missed the game through 'flu are unlikely to be fit.
Preece is making it difficult for Chairman Terry Robinson to do anything other than to give him and Redmond the manager's job, at least until the end of the season and a further three points today will have virtually cemented their position.
Squad: Kenny, Barrass, C Swailes, Redmond, Williams, Woodward, Daws, Forrest, Reid, Preece, Littlejohn, Lawson, Bhutia, D Swailes, Billy, Avdiu, James
