DETECTIVES investigating two thefts from service stations by a man in a Jaguar believe they are connected.
The latest incident occurred at Baxenden Service Station, in Manchester Road, when a man put £45 of petrol into his car without paying.
The incident, at 4.52pm on Sunday, follows an incident at Majee Service Station, also in Manchester Road, on December 17.
Both cars are R registered Jaguars, though their descriptions vary slightly.
In the latest incident the car is described as green with a registration beginning with R410. The driver is described as white, between 25 to 30-years-old, of medium build with brown short hair.
He was wearing black jeans and a dark jumper.
The Jaguar in the first incident is described as dark blue with a registration starting R140.
