PEOPLE in East Lancashire are looking forward to a high-tech future, according to a new survey.
The survey, commissioned by online loyalty company Netcentives, asked what Christmas will be like in 2010.
More than half - 58 per cent - said that while there will be fewer family gatherings in 2010, you will be able to have a virtual Christmas with family in Australia via digital television.
Forty per cent thought most Christmas presents would be bought over the internet, and 37 per cent believed a central computer will control domestic systems.
More than a third - 37 per cent - thought traditional Christmas cards would be replaced by e-mail.
And 57 per cent thought computer software would take over from traditional toys and games for Christmas presents.
