A CAR park in Blackburn has been added to a nationally approved list and awarded a certificate.
The car park at Daisyfield Baths in Daisy Lane has been given a Secured Car Park Award under a scheme run by the Association of Chief Police Officers.
Blackburn Crime Reduction Officer Peter Wareing said: "Blackburn with Darwen Council has worked hard to improve the level of security. Crime has dropped a huge amount compared with before it became a secured car park."
A brochure of all secured car parks in the North West will be available in the New Year.
