LEADING policemen, industrialists and politicians received honours in the New Year list.
They included Lancashire Chief Constable Brian Johnson, holder of the Queen's Police Medal, who became a CBE. And James Dickinson, senior natural history conservation officer at Griffin Lodge in Blackburn, became an MBE.
