LEARNER drivers could have come to an 'emergency stop' as examiners protested against a pay offer.
Up to 64 tests could have been disrupted at centres in Blackburn and Nelson. All examiners at Blackburn would be on strike, claimed the National Union of Civil and Public Servants.
But test candidates were advised to turn up for their appointments unless told otherwise.
