THE weather played havoc with Leigh & District Amateur Football League at the weekend.
In Division One only two matches were played, and only one was completed.
The match that went the full 90 minutes saw Hag Fold WMC beat Leigh Phoenix 4-1 with goals from Craig Hill, Stuart McPike and a Brian Hupton double. Steve Anderton got one back.
The other match, Higher Fold LC v AFC Limelight, lasted 47 minutes before it was abandoned.
In Division Two two matches were completed.
And leaders Leigh Sportsmen (who now have an 11-point lead over Courts) romped in 7-1 at Black Horse. Lee Helme was the solitary home scorer, Mick Barrington 2, Steve Bradley, Jason Caldwell 3 and Carl Buckley hit the seven.
Howe Bridge Mills went three better with a 10-0 demolition job on Atherton Royal with goals from Mike Sampson 3, Wayne Sankey 2, Lee Neill, Phil Molyneux 3 and Jeff Hall (og).
