CATERERS were grilled by prospective chefs of the future during an open evening at Nelson and Colne College designed to give a taste of life in the catering industry. A panel of six people, ranging from former college catering students to people with years of experience in the industry, took part in a question-and-answer session at the college's catering department in Barrowford Road, Colne.
The annual open evening, held yesterday took the form of the BBC's Question Time and the audience, which ranged from 16-year-olds preparing to leave school to a pensioner, asked about a varied menu of topics from working hours to job prospects.
