U14: Pilkingtons 26 Warriors 10
LEYLAND made a fast start, scoring first and holding Pilkingtons for most of the first half. But lack of concentration and bad tackling allowed Pilkingtons to take the lead. Leyland regained control in the second half but left themselves with too much to do. Man of the match was James Franklin, runner-up was Phil Conogan and top tackler was Hal Pedlar. Tries came from Jamie Jackson and John Key with the conversion by Stuart Brown.
U15: Blackbrook 8 Warriors 26
WARRIORS played away in wet muddy conditions against Blackbrook. They started slowly but kept themselves in the game with superb tackling and with great determination took the game to the opposition. Two tries from winger and Man of the match Shaun Coathup, whose backing up was excellent. Other tries by top tackler John Cookson, Johnathan Tuson, Mark Richards and Dan Lofthouse.
