ON behalf of our charity, the Romanian Community Care Group, may I, through the Star's letters page, thank all the people, schools, teachers, parents and children who supported us in 1999.
On January 23 our latest consignment left for Romania. We sent medicines, food, baby milk and clothing. It will be very, very welcome.
We support Dr Marrietta and The Franciscan Sisters in Timosoara. They care for the neglected elderly, the handicapped (often abandoned) and the street children.
Imagine the joy of the children and the elderly (no welfare in Romania) on receiving any little present.
Well done, everybody, a great start for 2000.
