MEMBERS of a bowling club which was ravaged by fire in 1998 are celebrating after scooping £63,128 from Sport England.
The Deepdale Bowling Club was gutted by the fire, believed to have been started by teenage arsonists.
The money will be spend on improving disabled access to their greens and will also help to buy a special wheelchair with wide wheels so disabled bowlers can use the green.
Preston Disability Information Service Centre has been awarded £139,512 from the National Lotteries Charities Board to help fund a confidential information advice centre in the area.
