SHOPPERS can meet a team of experts from British Gas next week at an energy roadshow.

The team of experts will be in Leigh's Spinning Gate Shopping Centre from Monday, February 7 until Saturday, February 12.

They will tell people how the company's revolutionary move to scrap standing charges will benefit them.

Customers who want to find out more about gas and electricity competition can talk to qualified staff at the British Gas stand in the shopping centre.

The company is staging the roadshow in response to customer calls asking for money saving advice on gas and electricity bills.

North west area manager, Julian Anderton, said: "The news that British Gas is to be the first major national energy supplier to do away with standing charges has generated a huge amount of interest.

"We are responding with a roadshow in Leigh to answer customer questions. Local residents can also pick up other tips and information to help them save money."

Local people who can't visit the roadshow can find out more by calling the company's electricity information line on 0845 60 70 200.
