SUPERMODEL Naomi Campbell had better watch her back - Preston's mayoress, Jean Swarbrick, is ready to take the catwalk by storm.
Preston's First Lady looked divine as she stepped out in a fawn-coloured suit with chiffon scalf and beige hat, in preparation for her modelling debut next week.
It is hoped that the aptly named, Fabulous Fashion Show, will attract record crowds and prove pull in the cash for the Mayor's Charity Fund.
The event is in the newly refurbished Guild Hall Foyer, in Lancaster Lane, Preston, on February 12, at 10.30am.
Debenhams personal shopper, Trish Langley, will be co-ordinating the event and all the models will be flaunting the best of the store's spring and summer collection. Preston Town Hall attendant porter, Josef St Jean, looked the business in an amethyst-coloured shirt, purple tie and navy trousers as he stepped out with his son, Issac.
Cute Issac, three, is certain to break a few hearts in his matching Debenhams number with purple waistcoat and gorgeous bow tie. While elder sister Rebekah, charms her way through the wardrobe in order to satisfy her fashion-conscious appetite.
Other models will include councillor Christine Abram and her daughter as well as environment committee chairman, councillor Albert Richardson, who looks a real dish in a slate grey shirt and blue tie.
Coun Richardson said: "I'm more than happy to take part in this event and really looking forward to it."
Tickets for the event cost £3, including coffee and biscuits, from the Town Hall reception or mayor's secretary, Marjorie Barnes, on (01772) 906113.
