EAST Lancashire's lone Tory MP pitched in on the side of the Cabinet Euro sceptics as the Government tried to patch up its split over the future of the European union. With Prime Minister John Major moving closer to the anti-federalists position, Mr Evans flagged up his enthusiastic support for chief sceptic Michael Portillo.
