CHILDREN from Norbreck Primary School who raised money for a charity for the homeless have been personally thanked by the charity's director.
Year two pupils at the school collected almost £200 in donations for Love Russia when they performed the play, "The Russian Shoemaker" at Christmas.
The charity aims to raise money for the vast number of orphans and homeless children living in Russia.
And Alex Cooke, chief executive officer and international director for Love Russia, personally visited the school to give thanks to all the children and present them with a special certificate for their efforts.
He also gave a talk explaining where all the money has gone and how it will help the orphans.
