OWENS Corning have staged a takeover bid. They took advantage of Haydock's game being called off to claim top spot in the Warrington Premier Division.
And their move to the top was all the sweeter, thanks to a 6-2 derby victory over Blackbrook.
Meanwhile, last year's champions, Whiston Cross, suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Greenalls. Division One promotion hopefuls kept on track with a 2-0 success at Moore United.
And Sasib accounted for Irlam Catholic Club with goals from Shaun Corrigan and Paul Oakes (2).
