A VICIOUS gang of thugs left a man with a fractured skull and a disabled woman badly beaten in two horrific attacks in Blackpool.
The attacks were believed to have been carried out by the same gang of three men and a woman on Dinmore Avenue on the Grange Park estate.
The thugs first targeted a 48-year-old local man at around 8pm on Tuesday (February 1) shortly after he had left a pub.
They pushed him to the ground and kicked him in the head leaving him with a fractured skull and a broken nose then stole his wallet before making off in a black Vauxhall Astra.
The same gang are also thought to have carried out a sickening attack on a 22-year-old disabled woman who was waiting at a bus stop near the junction with Horsebridge Road.
She was pinned to the floor and kicked in the face and body before they stole her bus pass and bus fare of just £1. The female attacker was white in her early 20s, 5ft 6ins tall with long blonde hair and it is believed she spoke with a Southern accent.
She was wearing a black T-shirt, light blue trousers with a skirt over the top and light blue trainers.
The other attacker was a white man, 5ft 10ins tall with short brown hair and moustache. He was wearing a white Nike jumper, jeans and trainers. He is also believed to have spoke with a Southern accent.
A third man who remained in the car was of a bigger build with shoulder length untidy brown hair.
The group made off in a black Vauxhall Astra with a red stripe down the side. A spokesman for Blackpool police appealed for anyone who may know the attackers to contact them.
He said: "These were very brutal, nasty attacks and as they were both on the same road it is likely they were linked."Even hardened criminals must be shocked by the particularly nasty nature of the attacks and I would urge anyone to contact us if they have any information at all."
