RAINHILL Parish Council has had its Charter Mark renewed for a further three years.
Council chairman, Catherine Kedge was presented with the award at a ceremony in London on February 1.
Rainhill is the only parish council to have been awarded the award designed to recognise and reward excellence in public service.
Councillor Kedge said: "The Charter Mark application process provides an excellent means of reviewing our service provision and ensuring that the parish council provides a quality service to all Rainhill residents."
Rainhill Parish Council was first awarded its Charter Mark in 1996.
