WORKERS at a plastics factory have helped make the ultimate cold bath!
An all-female team of intrepid explorers recently became the first to make it to the South Pole after a 700-mile trek across the Antarctic.
And a bath made from Lucite, manufactured by Ineos Acrylics in Darwen, was airlifted out to the Antarctic so the women could have a relaxing soak after their gruelling journey. "The expedition was a terrific opportunity for us. Airlifting a bath to the South Pole is certainly one of the most unusual things we have done but just shows that even in the most extreme conditions there is nothing better than a nice hot soak!"
Ineos took over the former ICI plants in Darwen last year as part of a £505million deal.
