MP DAVE Watts has called for further changes on how National Lottery grants are allocated.
The St Helens North representative voiced his concern following newly-published figures indicating that the town does not receive its fair share.
He has now written to Chris Smith, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, asking him to press the National Lottery Funding Council to review the way it allocates grants.
Dave believes that a full review is needed to ensure that towns like St Helens have the opportunity to receive a fair share of lottery funds.
He said: "I believe that too many London-based cultural schemes have been receiving money in the past and changes are needed to address this problem."
