THE Dukes has lined up three acting heavyweights to star in their anticipated new production "American Buffalo." Rehearsals are under way for the opening night on February 17 and everyone at the Dukes are delighted to have landed such a distinguished cast.
Trevor Cooper, who plays junk shop owner Donny Dubrow, has recently appeared in the hit TV programme "Longitude" and has many other TV credits. He's also starred in Peter Greenaway's "Drowning by Numbers" and appeared with the Royal Shakespeare Company in their production of "Zenobia."
The touchy, volatile Teach is played by Terence Beesley who has a long list of TV appearances under his belt from The Bill to Cadfael. He's also starred in the hugely popular film Human Traffic and recently took to the stage to play Cornwall in King Lear at the Royal Exchange. The third character Bob, Donny's gopher, is played by Alun Raglan who, as well as plenty of high profile stage work, has appeared in the films "Rodriguez" and "Don Quixote."
American Buffalo is all set to be one of the hottest Dukes productions for a number of years and for tickets call the box office on 66645.
