ESSENTIALS of health and safety will be highlighted at a free seminar in Bury later this month.

The town's thriving Business Environment Association (BEA) is staging the event at its Link House headquarters on Wednesday, February 23, between 8.30am and 12 noon.

"Good Health is Good Business" is the theme of the seminar which is designed for companies starting out.

It will also benefit firms maintaining health and safety management and undertaking risk assessments in the workplace.

Key speaker is Mr Paul Blackburn, HM principal Inspector of Factories with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

His talk will concentrate on where the HSE fits into the enforcement sphere, what is involved in an inspection and details about risk assessment.

The seminar will be chaired by Mr Mike Kinsella, manager of the Business Environment Association, Bury.

A buffet will be served at the end of the event. To book your place, contact Emma Critchley at the BEA on 763 4185.
