FANCY having a dirty weekend for charity?
The famous Lancashire Fusilier Krypton Factor Assault Course challenge is to make a welcome return to the fund-raising calendar on the weekend of May 20 and 21.
The popular event disappeared in 1993 after raising more than £250,000 for 46 charities over 14 years.
The course at Holcombe Army Camp is one of the toughest in Europe. It was the highlight of Granada TV's Krypton Factor.
Now, the Bury branch of the Lancashire Fusiliers Association are to re-launch the gruelling challenge to raise cash to re-house the borough's Lancashire Fusilier Museum.
Organiser Mr Dennis Laverick said: "We are as keen as ever to give people the chance to go over Europe's toughest and most famous assault course and to help many worthy causes."
Entry forms are available by writing to: the Fusiliers Krypton Factor 2000 Assault Course Competition. Lancashire HQ RRF, Wellington Barracks, Bolton Road, Bury, Lancashire, BL8 2PL.
Alternatively, you can E-mail the barracks at secretary@krypton2000,fsnet.co.uk or call 0161 764 3695.
