BUSINESS leaders took a trip back to their school days when they enjoyed a breakfast meeting to mark a Pendle high school's successful bid to become a technology college.
Representatives from firms which supported West Craven High School, Barnoldswick, in its application for the prestigious title joined head Arnold Kuchartschuk at the school yesterday.
The business breakfast was held as a way of thanking firms for their backing in raising £100,000 of private sponsorship needed to support the technology college application.
Bosses were given a brief presentation on the bid and the way it will transform the school by Mr Kuchartschuk, chairman of governors Keith Whipp, and Dennis Mendoros, a governor and chairman of Pendle Partnership, the regeneration consortium of private, public and voluntary groups.
Mr Kuchartschuk told the business leaders: "Your support for West Craven has helped to create a unique network of local business and industry working together."
