LETTERS I HAVE just seen the new Blackburn band Tompaulin in London and witnessed a fantastic gig which received rapturous applause and excellent reviews.
But I wonder why they haven't played in Blackburn apart from one gig? Come on Blackburn, give this talented band a chance and book them before you miss out. They have wonderful, magical songs and they are going places.

HAVING read your review (Pulse, January 29) of the new Oasis single Go Let It Out, I dare say a few years ago - when it seemed fashionable for people like you to tip Oasis as your favourite band - you couldn't sing their praises highly enough. It's a pity you don't hear the real music, but your ears seem blocked by faddish bands. Take a tip from Noel Gallagher and use your ink wisely.

SORRY to disappoint but I'm too young to have written about Oasis when they were on the way up. They used to be good, now they're not. Next time include your address, please.
