IRFAN Desai ran out of a Blackburn park and straight into the back of a police vehicle, where he produced two wraps of heroin from inside his mouth.
Blackburn magistrates heard that the unexpected arrest came about because Desai was being assaulted in the park.
Desai, 20, of Carr Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and was given a conditional discharge for 12 months.
Brent Patterson, defending, said his client had been attacked and had sought refuge with the police. "He volunteered the drugs as soon as he got in the vehicle," said Mr Patterson.
